CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND A 12 PACK OF CRAYONS.

So my daughter is starting her first year of school (tears in my eyes) and she has to have a 12 pack of crayons. The problem is I can NOT find them ANYWHERE besides online. I feel like I am being led on a wild crayon chase or something. Is anyone else having a hard time finding stuff for their children or is it just me.

I can't picture

I can't picture anyplace...target sells the 25-ish packs in the summer for $0.20 or so. Does it specifically say 'only a 12 pack, don't buy more or you're one of those evil overachieving parents.'? If not, buy what you can find and worry about the important things...like what kinda lunchpail you need to get him/her. If you start them off with a dorky/uncool lunch box, it's 9 years of trying to make up for it.

Ok, maybe that's just my experience.

oh, yeah... Amen to the lunch box thing.

Took almost 5 years for my classmates to notice what a geek I was, because they were too busy admiring my really cool lunch box.

Yes.
In fact, all real men know there's exactly 12 colors:

the three primary: red, blue, yellow
the three secondary: purple, green, orange
the three others: black, brown, white
the three whitish: gray (whitish black), tan (whitish brown), pink (whitish red)

Don't get fooled by "violet". It's just another name for "purple". It's used by the same kind of questionable people who say "autumn" for "fall".

So I guess I am the overachiever parent, but I am allowed to because it is her first year. As for the luch box she has Hannah Montana the newest thing out. lol. She is going to be ok when it comes to being cool.

It is not a myth, I have

It is not a myth, I have bought the 12 pack before at Staples but you could also try Office Max. We needed then two year ago for my son's pre-K class.
I think teachers just like to tease us in anticipation of all the craziness our kids will be putting them through this year :)
We had to go to Staple because last year we needed to get 2nd Grade Composition Books, which I thought were made up, but no, they really had these thin little books that had the title "second grade composition books" , printed right on them.
It was like 60 pages at like $2.50 each, what a rip off!!
