while I'm not crazy about

while I'm not crazy about the rain ('depressing' is a subjectve term), I really despise the heat. I'll take a blizzard over hazy hot and humid any day.

'oppressive' is also a subjective term. I'll always choose hazy, hot, & humid over chilly & rainy... although I prefer warm & not-so-humid

While I prefer the sunshine,

While I prefer the sunshine, I kind of like a chilly, rainy day. There's nothing like snuggling up on the couch, reading or taking a nap on a rainy day.

Amen, brother. Steady soaking rain means I don't have to water my garden (which I hate to do--think it would be impractical to install a sprinkler system for my 15x10 yard? ;-)

Today I prefer depressing

Today I prefer depressing rain. It reminds me of crisp cups of coffee, notebooks and library nooks. And walks in a green place. Just enough chill to comfortably wear jeans and a light sweater. Perfect sleeping weather, under blankets with the windows cracked open.

mmmm. But other days I prefer oppressive heat, best for sundresses and swimming pools; lemonades and watermelon. Bare feet and sun lotion. When air conditioning feels awesome.

the only depressing aspect

the only depressing aspect of days like this is that the sunroof of my car leaks - maybe it's a rainroof...

I prefer the heat mostly

I prefer the heat mostly because I can go into the AC and still see light outside :), Plus the kids can be outside swimming instead of inside driving me crazy!!!

Oh Gosh, when does school start :(

I'd have to say I prefer

I'd have to say I prefer this weather versus 90 degrees and 85% humidity. It reminds me of the first rain that indicates the onset of fall (my favorite season). that would explain the smile on my face during the walk to the El this morning.

I'm with you - I love Fall - it is my favorite time of year and I can't wait. Spring is awesome as well. Beautiful. I don't enjoy the unbearable heat of deep Summer (although a nice 85 degree day is nice to hang in the yard - but up into the 90+ range w/humidity is too much). In Fall, you have the chill, but the sun still shines - not like the bleak months when there are no leaves on the trees and everything is dark and colorless. Hmmmm...I guess I have seasonal depression...Nunzio get out the sunlamp!

the last few responses got

the last few responses got me thinking... I bet if you'd ask this question at the end of March when everyone is sick of the dark damp cold drearies you'd get different answers. I think most of us look forward to the change of seasons.

anyway, all you oppresive heat lovers will be happy come Saturday since the forcast calls for a HOT and HUMID 92 degF!
