There were Laytons that

There were Laytons that lived on Thompson Street at Oxford in the early 70's and before.

What time period are you looking at? I have access to US Census reports 1930 and prior.

Greek,It's a very long story

Greek,It's a very long story and one that I will not elaborate on at this time. When I saw your screen name I figured the mystery out.I met your mom and Aunt Midge many years ago when they came back to Philly for a visit,we picked them up at the airport.I believe Vanderstein children are still in area although I think their mom,who I believe would be your great aunt has passed away.I don't personally know their family.Bobbys' daughter and her family are still in area.Your posting made me realize what a small world it really is. Good luck on your venture and I hope this little bit of information will help you to find your relatives

Greek,I believe this would

Greek,I believe this would have been your grandfathers family....your mom may know......there was another Layton family that lived in same area probably before you were even born but it is to my understanding that they were not related. If my memory serves me correct I think their father was Pat and his nick name was Jack Sprat.Good Luck

Greek, you may wish to use

Greek, you may wish to use mixed case text. While some on the Internet still consider this 'SHOUTING', all caps just tends to be difficult to read.

Good luck with your hunt.

Greek,No, I'm not related to your family.I only met your mom and aunt one time when I went to the airport with your uncle to meet them.I found it very amusing as they wanted to stop at Pats' Steaks on the way home.I guess the old adage is true you can take a Philadelphian out of Philly but you can't take Philly out of them.We all know nothing can beat a philly steak or soft pretzel.Take care
