The Fishtown Shad Fest Seeks Sponsors!
The Shad fest will celebrate the rich history of the Fishtown area and the Delaware River. Scheduled for Saturday April 25th 2009 at Penn Treaty Park the festival will have activities for the whole family. Funded in part by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission's Take Me to the River program and organized and hosted by the FISHTOWN AREA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION the activities will include-

* SHAD FISH COOKING and FOOD by JOHNNY BRENDA"S TAVERN and more
* LIVE LOCAL MUSIC- Hoots and Hellmouth are headlining, more TBA
* KAYAKING and BOATING- Free kayaking by the PA Environmental Council
* KIDS ACTIVITIES- A MoonBounce, Walking Fish Theatre Programming and MORE
* ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION- by the PA Horticultural Society, PA Environmental Council, Bike Coalition and more
* VALET BIKE PARKING by the Neighborhood Bike Works
* HISTORIC TROLLEY TOURS by Ken Milano
* ARTS AND CRAFTS VENDORS- Down the vendor form Here
* LOCAL BUSINESS EXPO and HISTORY DISPLAYS
* SHAD RUN 5K - by the Fishtown Beer Runners- Register Here
