Local, Fresh, Organic

The Lancaster Farm Fresh Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) needs more sign-ups!

We are going into our third year of having fresh, organic and locally-grown produce delivered every week in our neighborhood. To continue with this great service, we need some more sign-ups! Pick-up weekly at the Walking Fish Theatre.

Some of what we received last year from LLF: yams, sweet potatoes, tomatos (including heirloom), kale, spring mix, bibb lettuce, romaine, peas, pea shoots, spring onions, radishes--bitter and sweet, strawberries, watermelons, garlic scapes, all kinds of squash, purple potatoes, heirloom carrots, red and green peppers, hot peppers, corn, baby corn....

This CSA is different from some others in that it is JUST produce, no meat, white pasta, yogurt or other things you might not want to eat or want to buy separately. There is also an optional Fruit Share.

All the farmers grow organically and there are some who are just starting to switch over. It is a great way to eat healthfully, support local growers and lessen your carbon footprint.

Sign up as soon as you can.

Sign up as soon as you can. We are filling up.

LFF is different from Greensgrow. Both are great, but LFF is only produce: veggies and fruit. If you want extras, such as eggs, meat, milk, you can order them. The cost is lower and you can make your own choices.

I have done this CSA for 3 years now and it has forced us to cook and eat well every week. Not only that, it saves a lot of money--don't have to buy vegs or fruit at the store!
