I've never inquired, but what's up with this store. is it like the Philadelphia Soft Pretzel Factory on 8th and Washington where anyone can purchase fresh from the oven pretzels. since I work late at night I always walk my dog past there late at night and it smells marvelous and I see people working inside (not to mention the van with all the flour parked on the sidewalk in front of the entrance) but was never sure if it operated as a sort of late-night storefront. I've seen cops go in and get pretzels, but never normal civilians.

You can go as soon as they

You can go as soon as they open (usually around 5AM I think). They are a family run business, not a franchise. Charlie Furfari is an awesome dude. The pretzels are great too.

Yes, you can walk off the street and buy pretzels...However, be aware that they're only open from early morning until when the pretzels run out. (roughly 9-10 am)

I prefer the pretzels from Federal Street Pretzel in South Philly, but Furfari's is still way better than than the bland pretzels that those cookie cutter franchise stores put out. Give them a try!
