What are your New Years Eve Plans/Traditions?

New Years Eve is amateur night. You wouldn't dare catch me out on the road w/ all those drunks. Does anyone think that anyone will catch any stray bullets this year from the hoppers that shoot up in the air at midnight? What a magnificent way to bring in 09!

Gadzooks Frank! Who peed in your Cherrios this morning?

We plan as always having a low key evening. Hard to go out galavanting with a baby in the house. Hard to even stay up past midnight with a baby in the house.

We're off to a different city (no, not NYC) to see our friends. Hint: It's going to be awfully cold and WINDY there.

This is sort of our honeymoon since we didn't get to take one right after the wedding. We sprang for one of the nicest hotels in the city just to make it feel like a treat. And yes we realize that most people go to Aruba or Hawaii or somewhere warm and beachy for their honeymoon. Not our thang.

Hopefully, there will be a European honeymoon in our future, but for now, I'm perfectly happy with some new scenery, GREAT friends, good food, and awesome conversation, for my new years celebration.

Plus it gave me an excuse to buy new boots, sweaters, and ear muffs.

Hope everyone has a great time, no matter where they are! Happy New Year!

Today was Tim's turn.
There's an opening next Tuesday if you want your opportunity.

I have a copy of the calendar, but Joe's the official scheduler -
you'll have to contact him to sign up.

We used to dress up in our tuxedos and go see the Trenton Symphony. Now we just go to whatever house party we get invited too. Maybe next year we will see if the tux's still fit and get back to the old tradition.

Was the 11th commandment 'Dan shalt have 37 weeks of vacation but little money to pay for them.' ?

Pretty close.
It's four weeks vacation and little money to spend.
