I was just there with Teener

I was just there with Teener for her birthday...and I had a special that was called "steak and a cake." It was a steak filet and a crab cake, plus mashed potatoes and a veggie. So I got meat, potatoes, AND seafood! I also recommend the buffalo chicken dip. Delish!!

I was there on Monday night for the first time.
I'm not very picky when it comes to food...(or beer)....but the linguini pescatore was unbelievable....lots of mussels and shrimp as well as crabmeat throughout.

Highly recommended!!!

I love Hot Potato, I usually

I love Hot Potato, I usually go about once a week. Their filet is wonderful and so are their crabcakes. Those are my favorites there but I can honestly say I never have had anything there that I didn't like.

And then there came Bill' and the food became out of this WORLD!

So the Food at the Hot Potatoe Cafe is INCREDIBLE, because some Guy named Bill is cooking it =)

Tried Hot Potato for the first time this past Saturday. My partner threw me a surprise 35th Birthday dinner there with friends. Claire and Co. were wonderfully accomodating and the food was fresh and delicious. I wish them the best of luck and much success!

I actually just started

I actually just started going back, I was not a big fan AT ALL by some of the changes that Chef Bill Elmer did..
The soup was more like drinking a puree and it was not strong in flavor as it had been,
I heard he was gone so my Mom and I went this weekend and I was very happy with the soup and our meal as a whole..
I am not sure if he is COMPLETLY gone, but he was not there Saturday...lol

Hey Netable, better start

Hey Netable, better start saving now!
I guess some things are "recession" proof, like caviar.

We've had less than stellar

We've had less than stellar experiences with HP. She who must be made happy had lunch ordered from there through work a few weeks back and didn't finish it (I don't recall what sandwich it was), and I had the opportunity to dine there for a private function. The pasta was ok and the fresh fruit was fresh, but it is an egregious error to put mayo on a Hoagie unless ordered that way. Oil and eggs were meant for a higher calling than being whipped together into a cold, slimy cold-creamy mess. :-)

The fresh made potato chips

The fresh made potato chips covered with cheese are stellar. I'd go there for the chips alone.

Bill left HP and I haven't

Bill left HP and I haven't been back since. I loved what he tried to do with the menu and he would come on fishtown.us and read all of our comments and try to improve or make changes.

I too will stalk him at the new restaurant. I do not think I will try HP again without him there but that is just me.
