Does anyone know the name of it? I know it starts with a "C" and it was featured in one of the local papers this week.

Casizzi's or something like

Casizzi's or something like that....My bro said the pizza is fantastic. I tried going there last Saturday night but I was too late. They close at 9 pm. The lady working there was super nice and was going to keep the kitchen open for us but we told her we would just come back another time.

They burned the heck out of my lasagna last time I was there.

Had dinner there last night.

Had dinner there last night. And I have to say that for being a fan of Tacconnelli's, the pizza at Cassizzi's is BETTER!!

My friend and I had fries with parmesan and garlic, a caesar salad, a small red and a small white pie, as well as coffee and cannoli's all for under $40.

I was so pleased I may go back tonight!!

Check it out!

I finally got take out from

I finally got take out from here last night and was very excited about it. It had to be one of my biggest let-downs ever. So completely disappointed. Who ever said that it's "better than Tacconelli's" must have been stoned off some kind of super drug and munching their face off. I ordered a small margherita pie, small plain pie, garlic parmesan fries and a chicken cutlet sandwich. The pies were indeed, truly, small for 8$. The margherita pie was terrible, maybe a pinch of basil on the whole thing w/ what seemed like crappy canned tomato slopped on. The plain pie was the highlight, though just not that good, especially for that price. The fries were a joke, plain fries sprinkled w/ garlic powder, dried parsley and parmesan at 3$. The chicken sandwich was small, the roll was mediocre. Maybe it was a bad time to order, 7pm on a Sunday, and I'm sure it's a little better if you eat in. But, I will never order again. I was about to call Rustica after the first few bites or make the trip to Angelino's down in Fairmount.

I always like to at least

I always like to at least try new places. I havent been to taconellis since the last time where I found out they only take cash. Does this new place take cards? If so, Ill be glad to go there instead of Tacs.

frankdatank's picture

Simmer, I am not sure if

Simmer, I am not sure if they take cards or not, I paid with cash. I do urge you and the rest of the board to try the place. It could have been an "off night" and I hope that was the case.

Cassizzi's is cash-only, but

Cassizzi's is cash-only, but there is an ATM in the Pharmacy across the street.

I thought that Italian roasted lamb tasted peculiar.

Kat and I took the kids

Kat and I took the kids there a couple weeks ago. We thought it was really good and not too pricey. The service was very friendly. I liked the pizza better than Tacconelli's.

And, to answer a question that may be haunting folks, the restaurant is owned by Nick Cassizzi, but not Nick of the funeral home. Another Nick Cassizzi. The two Nicks are cousins, though.

We really liked it.

The prices are high compared to a corner pizza place,
but comparable to similar restaurants elsewhere.
