Riverside Chiropractic??

SammySam's picture

Their office is on Girard. Has anyone been there? Any good/bad/indifferent experiences?

I am trying to decide whether I should go there or find one close to my office in Center City. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I would definitely recommend

I would definitely recommend Dr. Kent on Allegheny, he is the BEST! I had horrible earaches all through my life, and 1 time I got mastoiditis? and my Primary wanted me to be admitted to the hospital for IV antibiotics, because oral ones were not working and I wouldn't go because I had the 3 kids and so I went to Dr. Kent and did not have another earache for over 3 years!! I absolutely love him, he is at Allegheny and Miller I think. Dr. Raymond Kent, he is awesome!!!!

Chiropractors are neither

Chiropractors are neither M.D.s or D.O.s,
I would be very wary of one who calls himself "doctor".

i went there (riverside)

i went there (riverside) earlier this year when i pulled my back out - i was in so much pain i couldn't get out of bed the whole day. i came across his info just by googling and was a bit skeptical b/c i couldn't find a lot of info on the place. the dr (can't remember his name, but he's the only one there)was great - he had me walking upright and got rid of most of my pain in about 10 minutes and after just one more visit and a sheet of exercises to do at home i had no problem and haven't had any problems since. unlike other chiro's i've gone too before who try to get you to come in for months and months ("maintenance")- he flat out stated that he's not like that, he fixes the problem as quickly as he can and if you have an problems in the future just come back in. he was also extremly personable.

and as an aside, i've been to quite a few chiropractors - some amazing, some just ok and they all called themselves "doctor"

i'd be wary of chriropractors who call themselves M.D.s, but i can't see why a chiropractor who's a D.C. ("Doctor of Chiropractic") can't call him/herself "doctor".

I agree, When I went to the Consultation with Dr. Kent, he explained Chiro Theory to me, and let me tell you, it made a TON of Sense to me. He kinda said that We are made to repair and Fix ourselves and that if Our spine is in "order" and everthing is the way it is meant to be, then our bodies will heal theirselves' and reject anything foreign.

The way he said it, was a whole lot better =)

Maybe I just want to believe so much that the horrible diseases and handicaps, sickness; that we are vulnerable to can all go away with just keeping our spine intak!

Yes, indeed I too would recommend Dr. Kent...I have degenerative and herniated discs and utilize the services here as well as my scottsdale az disc decompression therapy at the center for total back care.

George Bonner is THE BEST

George Bonner is THE BEST !!! I have to get numbers for his offices .. he is into all alternative medicen and gives you straight answers ... if he can help or if u need a ortho doc .. and it depends on the degree he got while in school .... alot of chiro's are Doctors ... Some think Physical Therapist with masters will be called doctors if they choose so ... ive had three different back surgeries so i was around alot fo different fields while in the hospital or rehab .. my doctor is national known . Dr varraco at the rothman refers people to a chiro if he see's the need ... but ill post office numbers for ya
